    It’s like being unemployed, except I’ll be making less money.

    I had my hours cut by more than half yesterday.
    I’ll be making less that $100 a week.
    There was no warning, not even a minute.
    It was justified as “departmental cutbacks.”
    I am the only person that was affected, including other student employees.
    They didn’t fire me because they “need me” and if they just let me go, there is a large possibility that they won’t be able to keep the position/ hire someone else.

    I would be better off if they just fired me.
